Frequently Asked Questions
Connect to Literacy™ (C2L) is Summit K12's supplemental English language development program for K–12 multilingual learners. Each student follows a Personalized Learning Plan across listening, speaking, reading, and writing, built from their state English proficiency scores. C2L includes formative assessments, AI auto-scoring for speaking and writing, 40+ teacher and admin reports, and practice modeled on each state's ELP assessment. It is available nationwide and meets ESSA Tier II (Moderate Evidence).
Accelerate to Literacy™ (A2L) is an add-on to Connect to Literacy that builds grade-level reading and ELA readiness for multilingual learners in grades 3–8 and 11. It replaces the third Personalized Learning Plan (PLP3) with a six-week literacy pathway. In Texas, A2L aligns to TEKS and STAAR® item types. In Smarter Balanced states, A2L-SB uses a screener and item types modeled on the Smarter Balanced ELA blueprint.
Summit Insights™ is Summit K12's accountability and compliance platform for English learner programs in Texas, with a California edition coming soon. It connects to Connect to Literacy™, pulling in real-time data from Connect to Literacy for close oversight. Summit Insights automates documentation such as LPAC records in Texas, and ELAC/DELAC and RFEP reclassification workflows are coming soon for California. It also forecasts reclassification, flags students at risk of becoming long-term English learners, supports Title III reporting, and sends parent notices in 90+ languages.
Dynamic Science™ is Summit K12's SBOE-approved, TEKS-aligned science curriculum for Texas. It covers K–8 plus high school Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and IPC, and is available in Spanish for K–8 as Ciencias Dinámicas. Lessons are phenomenon-based and use three-dimensional learning, with hands-on and virtual labs. STAAR® Readiness is included for tested grades.
RLA Mastery is Summit K12's reading language arts program for Texas, aligned to grade-level TEKS. Lessons are modeled after STAAR® item types and use cross-curricular texts. Districts that meet program conditions can receive the STAAR® RLA Mastery guarantee for grades 3–8 and English I–II.
Summit Achieve is Summit K12's college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) platform for Texas. It tracks CCMR accountability and the Outcomes Bonus in real time, aligned to current differential weighting rules. Connect to Literacy™ delivers daily language instruction and progress assessments. Accelerate to Literacy™ adds an optional grade-level literacy pathway. Summit Insights™ uses that same data for compliance, reclassification forecasting, and family communication. Together they form Summit 360™, so teachers and leaders don't have to reconcile separate systems. Coming soon, districts will also be able to add Summit Sidekick to carry language support into lessons across the school day.
Summit Sidekick is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Safari, coming soon, that brings language support into every lesson. Multilingual learners keep building academic English while they learn grade-level content in science, math, social studies and other subjects. Where districts also use Connect to Literacy™, Sidekick pulls in learner data so the supports each student needs stay with them all day and adapt as their proficiency grows. It extends the work of ELD specialists into every classroom, so content teachers can focus on teaching their subject.
