Aligned to the STAAR® Blueprints

Our content writers design every module to the standards set by the TEA through the STAAR® Blueprints. The full-length practice test mirrors the exact number of questions and point distribution per Strand — giving teachers an accurate, reliable picture of where every student stands and what they need next.

New for 2025–26: Cluster question sets are included, reflecting the new STAAR® item type introduced this school year.

Dynamic and Adaptive

Science standards evolve. So does our program.Dynamic Science STAAR® Readiness is updated alongside every TEA revision — so districts are never left working from an outdated program. When the standards change, the content changes with them. Always current. Always aligned. Always ready.

Flexible STAAR® Review Components

Concept Review

Teachers first use STAAR® review lesson guides to review the topic with the class. These include whole group instruction and small group activities.

STAAR® Assessment 1

Students complete a focused formative assessment built to mirror STAAR® question types, including the newest item formats.

TEKS Instructional Videos

Students watch targeted TEKS instructional videos — available for whole-class viewing or individual review through the Student Assignments tab.

Vocabulary Review

Students independently review key vocabulary using interactive Vocabulary Boosters™ — available in both English and Spanish. Students must score 80% or higher to advance, ensuring genuine mastery before moving on.

STAAR® Assessment 2

A second assessment with new items confirms mastery and ensures students are ready — not just practiced.

Real-Time, Data-Rich Reports

Alongside the PLPs, Science Mastery provides several reports useful to both teachers and administrators. Whether you need a high-level view of an entire district or detail on a single student, Science Mastery has you covered.

Reports provide teachers with real-time insights into students’ ongoing language growth. At-a-glance, see which proficiency level students are at, then drill down using a TEKS Mastery or Item Analysis report to learn in which areas students need additional practice and support.
