John Kresky is the Founder and CEO of Summit K12 Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of online education solutions that help schools improve student performance, particularly among English Learners. Since founding Summit K12 in 2014, John has focused on creating innovative educational solutions that support measurable growth and achievement across a variety of subject areas.
As a U.S. Army veteran, John’s leadership experience as an officer has greatly influenced his strategic vision for Summit K12, fostering a commitment to excellence and a results-driven approach in the company’s mission to enhance educational outcomes.
Amelia Larson serves as Chief Academic Officer at Summit K12, where she leads efforts to advance multiliteracy and access to high-quality instruction. A national consultant and thought leader with 30 years of experience, Amelia is known for blending the pragmatic—“How can we do our work better for multilingual learners and the educators who serve them today?”—with the visionary—“What might learning - and the systems that support language development -look like in the not-too-distant future?” Her work centers on building systems of opportunity, grounded in collaboration, evidence-based practice, and a deep commitment to helping every child and educator reach their personal Summit.
Sarah Johnson is a visionary EdTech leader who pairs sharp product instincts with the perspective of a seasoned educator. As SVP at Summit K12, she leads the development of AI-powered, standards-aligned solutions that scale across states and elevate outcomes for multilingual learners. With a future-focused mindset and a drive for impact, Sarah unites cross-functional teams to deliver transformative platforms that advance inclusive, tech-forward education for the next generation.

With 17 years of experience in public education, Benny brings deep expertise and unwavering dedication to his role as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships. He began his career as a physics teacher at a Title I school in Houston ISD, serving a population where 65% of students were Emergent Bilinguals. His classrooms consistently achieved 100% pass rates on TAKS and STAAR, a testament to his commitment to student success.
Over the years, Benny has held a wide range of leadership roles from Instructional Technology Specialist to Middle and High School Principal, and ultimately serving as a Executive Director and Interim Area Superintendent. In every role, he has championed equity and opportunity, working to ensure that all students, regardless of background, have access to high-quality instruction and support.
As a campus and district leader, Benny implemented Summit K12 with measurable success, reinforcing his belief in the power of innovative tools to accelerate learning. Today, he leverages that firsthand experience to build meaningful partnerships that empower educators and uplift students especially those who need it most.
Kelsey Castellano is the Director of Human Resources at Summit K12, leading initiatives that foster a positive, high-performing, and compliant workplace culture. With over eight years of HR and operational leadership experience, she focuses on enhancing the employee experience, driving organizational growth, and developing teams of “ideal team players.” Kelsey is passionate about creating an environment where people thrive and Summit K12’s mission to empower educators and multilingual learners can flourish.
