Meeting the 2024 Science Adoption Curriculum Standards for Middle School Students

The exciting 2024 Science Adoption Curriculum new standards are also offered in middle school.

In middle school, students focus on change and constancy, patterns, cycles, systems, models, and scale. Content areas also include Scientific investigations and reasoning, matter and energy, elements, physics, Scientific hypotheses, critical thinking and questioning.

Other topics also include Earth and space, structure of Earth, the rock cycle, plate tectonics, organisms and environments.

Through our videos, interactives, and virtual labs, students will be able to develop, explain, and refine their ideas based on evidence.

Summit K12 encourages Science to be hands-on, experimental, creative, engaging and fun.

The new Dynamic Science curriculum also focuses on instruction in Science phenomena, and provides the support students need so they can apply disciplinary practices to learn how to think critically while accelerating learning.

With our easy-to-use interface designed for all students our Science program can be used by students independently, in small groups, or along with their teachers. Comprehensive reporting enables teachers to monitor students’ progress to provide ongoing support.

Learning Science takes an open mind, the curiosity to explore, and a great understanding of the world and Science phenomena around us. Mastering new Science TEKS takes time as we adapt to a new Science curriculum.

For assessment, Summit K12 creates materials that include frequent and strategic opportunities to monitor, evaluate, and respond to student progress. Our focus is on the development of appropriate grade-level content and skills.

The Summit K12 2024  STAAR Review Program, which includes Concept Boosters™ and Vocabulary Boosters™ for our new Science curriculum also provides interactive video lessons and tutorials developed to the Science TEKS.
